Your New Colour Obsession: The Muse in Selvedge + Setting Plaster
Introducing The Muse in two classic colourways from Farrow & Ball: Selvedge and Setting Plaster.
The Muse was first launched in September 2021 in three colourways conceived exclusively for Tala by Head of Creative at Farrow Ball, Charlotte Cosby. The lamp has since become a hit with customers worldwide, prized for its classic lantern aesthetic, tactile form, and Dim to Warm technology.
A fourth colourway was added in 2022, followed by a special edition Solid Brass version that celebrates Tala’s signature fixture style. A fixed Wall Light series was released in September 2022. Crafted with sustainability in mind, The Muse combines low-energy LED technology with premium, repairable materials, with replaceable parts designed to extend the lifetime of the product for generations.
The Muse has a battery life of up to 24 hours and the option of wireless or USB-C charging, while its IP44 rating makes it suitable for outdoor use, whatever the weather.
The Colours:
Selvedge: A laid-back blue
A lighter, less grey version of popular De Nimes, Selvedge is named after the highly prized denim woven on a shuttle loom to produce closed edges.
Tala’s version of Selvedge works particularly well in low-light spaces, creating a familiar and friendly atmosphere, making it suited to bedrooms or rooms you spend time in, in the evening. It pairs beautifully with accents of darker colours like Inchyra Blue or Hopper Head.
Setting Plaster: A timeless dusty pink
This dusty pink is named after the blushing walls we often admire in newly plastered houses. It is definitely a pink in historic terms, but has a certain softness to it due to the inclusion of yellow pigment.
Tala’s version of the timeless Setting Plaster creates a wonderful partner for antique furniture, and also works incredibly well when paired with Tanner's Brown in a more contemporary home.
Available to shop exclusively on the Tala website and our flagship London Showroom from 5 December.
