After his local hospital asked for help to relieve their medical staff of the discomfort they endure from wearing protective masks all day, Canadian boy scout Quinn Callander put his 3D printing skills to the test and created an “ear guard”.

2. Endangered sea turtles hatch on a deserted Brazilian beaches

Without the usual crowds of locals and tourists, government workers in Paulista, Brazil, witnessed the beautiful moment when around 100 hawksbill sea turtles hatched peacefully, and then making their way down to the shore and into the ocean.

3. Street sings “Happy Birthday” to 100-year-old man

Neighbours took to the street to sing “Happy Birthday” to local resident Gordon Bentley, who celebrated his 100th year. Born in 1920, the World War II veteran had to suspend his birthday celebrations due to the current pandemic, but locals couldn’t let his big day pass by without a special salute.

Chairman and CEO of BlackRock, Larry Fink, has placed climate change at the centre of his company’s investment strategy in a move that could move trillions of dollars into combating the climate crisis.

During the Covid-19 crisis, the Design Museum is bringing design inspiration into the home, making available virtual tours, workshops and talks for adults and young people on their website and social media channels.
